This striking deciduous grass starts off a mid-green and slowly transforms into a rich dark red on the tips of each leaf. Its open, airy flowers appear in midsummer with a brown and red hue. ‘Rehbraun’ is great for creating colourful swathes of texture.

Panicum are annual or perennial, evergreen or deciduous grasses, with flat, narrow leaves and large finely branched panicles of small spikelets in late summer or autumn. Ideal for planting in flower beds and borders.
On arrival, unpack your new garden additions, and, if needed, give a light watering. Your plants are containerised and established, so you can get planting, as long as the ground is not waterlogged or frozen (in these situations, keep your plants in a sheltered position while you wait). For the first year, keep an eye on moisture availability, while roots settle into their new home.
