We’ve been growing plants in the heart of the Shropshire countryside for more than 70 years, supplying everyone from high-end garden designers to your local garden centre.

As passionate horticulturalists and expert growers, we care about plant health and about the environmental impact of what we grow and sell. We know how important these factors are to all gardeners, and we are committed to sharing as much as we can about the way your plants are grown and the journey they take from our nursery to your garden.

Plant Provenance

We are Plant Health advocates and understanding plant provenance goes hand-in-hand with minimising risk. As plant health becomes an important topic for gardeners and growers alike, we want to shed some light on how we try to minimise the movement of the plants we sell and mitigate the risks posed by transporting them between regions.

Plant production is complex and there are several routes to our nursery beds. Since there is currently no clear-cut definition of what makes a plant ‘British Grown’, we have set out our own definitions, to help our customers feel more informed on this topic.

Environmental Policy

We operate in a manner that protects the environment by limiting pollution, conserving energy, protecting natural resources, maximising recycling, and minimising waste. We are always looking for new ways to improve and we welcome feedback and ideas from our gardeners.
